Launching in Hasselt, a new residential project is set to introduce 107 cutting-edge apartments, designed with a keen eye on sustainability and affordability, incorporating 15 units specifically allocated for social housing. This development is supported by an underground structure that provides 67 parking spaces, showcasing a dedication to seamlessly merging urban functionality with ecological mindfulness.

This project aims to enrich Hasselt’s urban fabric by establishing a green, connective hub, linking directly to Kapermolenpark and its surrounding greenery. The architectural plan smartly divides the development into six blocks, enhancing site accessibility and ensuring a symbiotic relationship with the natural and built environment.

Central to the project’s landscape strategy is the preservation of existing trees alongside the introduction of new green spaces, bolstering the area’s ecological diversity and visual appeal. The inclusion of social housing, developed in partnership with a local housing entity, emphasizes a commitment to community and inclusivity.

The design prioritizes sustainable living and mobility, with a focus on pedestrian and cyclist amenities and a sophisticated rainwater management system. Rigorous environmental assessments have been conducted to ensure the project’s alignment with ecological best practices and to minimize its impact on the surroundings.

As this project progresses, it aspires to not only augment Hasselt’s green identity but also to improve residents’ quality of life, considering broader urban planning and infrastructure initiatives like the Spartacus plan. This development stands as a testament to forward-thinking architectural practices, reimagining urban living in harmony with environmental and community values.
