In Hasselt, a new residential project will introduce 107 modern apartments designed with sustainability and affordability in mind, including 15 units dedicated to social housing. This development will be supported by an underground structure with 67 parking spaces, demonstrating a commitment to seamlessly combine urban functionality with ecological awareness.

This project aims to enrich the urban fabric of Hasselt by creating a green, connective hub directly linked to the Kapermolenpark and its surrounding green spaces. The architectural plan cleverly divides the development into six blocks, enhancing the site’s accessibility and ensuring a symbiotic relationship with the natural and built environment.

Central to the project’s landscape strategy is the preservation of existing trees and the introduction of new green spaces, enhancing the ecological diversity and visual appeal of the area. The inclusion of social housing, developed in partnership with a local housing authority, underscores the commitment to community and inclusivity.

The design prioritizes sustainable living and mobility, with an emphasis on pedestrian and bicycle amenities and a sophisticated rainwater management system. Rigorous environmental assessments have been conducted to ensure that the project aligns with environmental best practices and minimizes its impact on the surrounding community.

As the project progresses, it aims not only to enhance Hasselt’s green identity, but also to improve the quality of life for residents, taking into account broader urban planning and infrastructure initiatives such as the Spartacus Plan. This development is a testament to forward-thinking architectural practices that reimagine urban living in harmony with environmental and community values.
