The redevelopment project, BELAIR, aims to provide a better connection between the upper town and the lower town. It includes the renovation of a number of buildings in and around the Pachecolaan and the Koningsstraat and of the recently renovated Finance Tower just behind it. The joint plan also envisages the construction of new buildings on the site, including two symbolic buildings in the form of triangles with “offset” floors that look roughly stacked on top of each other.
This real estate development takes up an area of more than 135,000 m². The Belair project aims to make the neighborhood more livable by creating nearly 47,000m² of living space, in addition to public places, 5,000m³ of commercial space, and a hotel with 120 rooms.
