The Waterzande project in Hulst Aan Zee aims to create a diverse residential and recreational community that emphasizes the concept of “home” living, both up close and from a broader perspective. Building on the existing polder structures, the development is evolving into a new village enriched with various functions including a marina, golf course, residential, and hotel.
The project offers a wide range of housing typologies such as apartments, terraced houses, semi-detached houses, and open structures, thereby cultivating a diverse community and appealing to a broad demographic.
The architecture of the whole will be sober and will blend in with the surrounding landscape. A natural material palette with earth and sand colors was chosen for this purpose.
The Waterzande project is the result of a collaboration between LIPS for the master plan and landscape design, Conix rdbm and UAU collectiv for the architectural design, and Zabra as the developer. This partnership aims to combine functional diversity with aesthetic harmony, fostering a cohesive community space in Hulst Aan Zee.
